Nectarines-Galette

Juicy and crispy and simply from the baking tray

The dough is classically made with flour, butter, water and a pinch of salt. And the filling? Makes the Galette with a lot of fresh Nectarines to a sweet pleasure.

Ingredients

For 12 servings
250  g flour
1  pinch of salt
125  g cold butter
1  kg Nectarines
3  tbsp sugar
2  tbsp oats (rolled)
1   egg
2  tbsp almonds (flaked)
1  tsp liquid honey

Step 1

Put 250 g flour in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and 125 g cold butter in small pieces on top of it and mix it crumbly with a whisk (or with your hands). Add 6 tbsp. of water, mix shortly and form it to ball. Roll the dough in Toppits® Clingfilm and let it rest for about an hour in the fridge.

Step 2

Knead the dough well on a floured working space and roll it out to an approx. 40 cm big circle. Put it on a baking tray covered with Toppits® Baking Paper.

Step 3

Preheat your oven at 200 °C (air circulation 180 °C). Wash 1 kg Nectarines, dry them, cut in half, pit them and cut into slices. Add them to a bowl and mix with 2 tbsp. sugar.

Step 4

Powder the dough with 2 tbsp. oats, but spare the edges (about 3 cm). Decorate the sugared Nectarine-slices next to each other on the dough, spare the edge as well. After that, fold the edge over the Nectarines and press slightly.

Step 5

Mix the egg in a small bowl or cup with a fork. Coat the edges with the egg by using a pastry brush. Then top with 1 tbsp sugar and 2 tbsp flaked almonds. Bake the Galette in your preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes until golden.

Step 6

After Baking mix 1 tsp honey with 1 tbsp boiling water and coat the warm Galette with this mixture.

Tip:

You can easily cut the Nectarines- Galette with a pizza cutter.
