What can beeswax wraps be used for?

Toppits® beeswax wraps can be used to cover fruit, vegetables and bread., but They can also be used to keep cooked food fresh. Beeswax wraps are particularly sustainable as they can be reused up to 500 times.

Beeswax wraps: antibacterial & odour neutral

Toppits® beeswax wraps are made in Germany from organic cotton, organic beeswax and pine resin. Beeswax has natural antibacterial properties and helps keep food fresh and tasty for longer. Whether for fresh or cut fruit and vegetables, cheese, cooked food or sandwiches - the food can simply be wrapped in the odour neutral beeswax cloth and stored in the refrigerator.

Foods with strong smells such as onions or cheese can give their odour to the wrap, so it is best to always use the same wrap for such foods. It is better not to wrap raw meat or fish in beeswax cloths, because despite the antibacterial properties, there is still a risk that bacteria will stick to the cloth.

Heat resistance of beeswax wraps

Hot food should not be covered with Toppits® beeswax wraps as this could melt the wax. The wraps are not suitable for the microwave or dishwasher for the same reason.

Versatile and easy to shape

Thanks to the organic beeswax and pine resin, Toppits® beeswax wraps are particularly malleable. Each pack contains two different sized wax wraps, so you always have the right size to hand. If dishes or plates need to be covered, the cloth can simply be folded over the edge and pressed down - the wax wrap stays in position without the need for elastic bands.

Perfect for travelling

Toppits® beeswax wraps are also ideal for use on the go. Slices of apple, sandwiches and other snacks can be safely wrapped and transported - again and again.
