Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200 °C convection (220 °C top and bottom heat). Put 125 g of soft butter in flakes in a bowl. Add half a teaspoon of salt and a little pepper. Wash 4 spring onions, clean and cut into fine rings. Pluck thyme leaves from the stems. Add both to the butter and mix with the whisks of the electric hand blender to a smooth herb butter.

Step 2

Cut the buns lengthwise and transversely with a bread knife, but do not cut through them. Divide the cheese slices into smaller pieces and put them in the sliced spaces between the buns. When all the gaps are filled with cheese, brush them with herb butter.

Step 3

Wrap the buns individually into small packets in Toppit's® aluminium foil and bake in a preheated oven on a medium rail for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy the plucked buns still hot or warm.

Tip

The mini plucked breads in the aluminum packet are also perfect for the grill – just grill at the edge of the grate for about 20 minutes.

The best for leftovers

Even older buns become deliciously fresh and delicious again through this method of preparation. If the buns are already a bit dry, they can also be sprinkled with a little water before baking.

And of course, 8 buns do not have to be prepared. The herb butter stays fresh in the fridge and buns and cheese can be bought well as needed.
